 Koreans mark August 15 as the most significantly important day in history. More than one generation of three decades under the Japanese colonialism had wreaked havoc on Korean culture and spirits. However, the indefatigable patriotism and resilience made it possible for the country to bounce back and stand tall where it is today. I would like to take a silent moment to pay tribute to all those selfless independence activists and fighters to save and keep my home country, Korea.
