A little piece of Poem "Run & Smile" by Jean Lee ^^

 Run & Smile

by Jean Lee

Splitting the fresh air

Wearing pulled up hair

Feeling elated in a nice new gear and pair

Leaving no energy to spare

Hollering at the devil of injuries “Don’t you dare!”

Unexpected encounters with deer and hare

Bring up your quiet whisper of “Hello, there!”

Running is about to get you elsewhere

Nothing seems to matter and you don’t care

Every single mile will become another smile in your running log to share.

Why don't you create a Haiku poem on four seasons?

Haiku poem about Four Seasons by Jean Lee

Winter

Start to see your breath?

Icicles deck the roof top

Watch your squeaky steps

Spring

Mizzle sounds quiet

Its petrichor smells so sweet

Daffodil paints town

Summer

Shades and sombreros

Hide and seek with the sunray

Long good books cool you

Fall

Trees changing colors

Leaves keep dancing with rustles

Fill your bowls with figs

Easy breezy quiz on The Fourth of July

The Declaration of Independence is one of the most important documents in the history of the United States. It was an official act taken by all 13 American colonies in declaring independence from British rule. Although the 4th of July celebration is already over, let’s have a short quiz on the holiday.

    1.   The name John ________________________ is synonymous with your signature. Legend says that ___________________ wanted the king of England to see the rebellious signature without having to wear his spectacles.

    2.   Do you know how many people signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776? Only two men signed it – John _________________, president of the Congress, and Charles Thompson, secretary of the Congress.

    3.   The Fourth of July was not declared a federal holiday until the year of 19___ ___.

    4.   Thomas _________________’s original draft of Declaration of Independence was lost and the one eventually signed is the “engrossed” document. It is kept at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., for all to see.

    5.   In July 1776, ______________________ (=the first U.S. President) was in New York with his troops. On July 9, he received his copy of the Declaration with a note telling him to share the news with his soldiers. The men were so excited that they rushed over to the Bowling Green and tore down the Statue of King ______________ III. Shortly after this, the British attacked the colonists and the American Revolution was under way. The colonists fought eight long, hard years for independence from Britain.
